A same day dry cleaning service is available Monday through Saturday (excluding public holidays and Sundays). There are dry cleaning bags in the drawers in your room. Please either leave the bag at reception or call reception to have it collected before 8am.

The Commodore has a sophisticated Fire Detection System in place. Upon hearing the alarm siren, please make your way as soon as possible to the car park outside the main door of the hotel. Exits are signposted. Please familiarise yourself with your closest exit.

The guest laundry is located on the ground floor just past the internal lift. Washing machines and dryers are available for $4.00 per wash and $2.00 per dry cycle including detergent. Change is available from reception.

We have available a fully equipped gymnasium just along from the reception area. We are able to organise a personal trainer to assist those guests staying for an extended period of time. Please contact reception for details.

There are hairdressing salons located at Kendal Avenue (Trends tel. 358 8147), Avonhead Mall (Bobsidi tel. 358 9712). We will happily deliver you and pick you up from these establishments in our courtesy shuttle.

There are hairdryers in each room. These are connected to a circuit breaker on the shaver socket, which may require resetting before operation of the hairdryer. To reset the hairdryer, press the green reset button on the shaver socket. If you find you are having difficulty operating your hairdryer, please contact reception.

An ice tray is located in the refrigerator in your room. Extra ice is available from the bar. Alternatively call reception for delivery.

All our guest rooms are equipped with an iron and ironing board located in the wardrobe. Alternatively clothing that requires pressing may be sent to the cry cleaners to be returned the same day (Monday-Saturday).

Your room telephone is equipped with a voice-mail facility. A glowing/ flashing lamp on the telephone, and a broken dial tone when the telephone receiver is lifted indicates a waiting message. Any messages not left on voice-mail will be typewritten and placed under your door. You may wish to advise the reception staff of your whereabouts if you are going to be away from your room and wish to be located.

The minibar in your room is for your convenience and will be replenished daily. A list of prices for minibar items can be found above the refrigerator in your room. Please contact reception if you require that your minibar be re-stocked or removed from your room.

If you require a complimentary newspaper to be delivered to your room Monday to Saturday, please hang the newspaper request card outside your room before 10pm. Any jewellery or valuables not worn or carried can be left at the hotel reception for your safekeeping or your room may also contain a room safe as a gratuitous service for your convenience. 1. Commodore Hotel gives no authority to any of its employees, contractors or agents to grant any user of the Safe any warranty or representation as to the condition of the safe, or its quality of security. 3. Should the occupant of this room (or an invitee of the occupant) choose to use the Safe for any purpose, including security, then: i. The occupant/invitee uses the Safe at his/her risk absolutely in all respects; ii. Pattersons Restaurant is open daily from 6.00am until 10.30pm. We are proud holders of the New Zealand Beef and Lamb Golden Plate Awards. Breakfast is served from 6.00am until 10.30am and then an a la carte menu is available until 10.30pm

A sanitary dispensing machine is located in the women’s toilets next to Pattersons Bar.

The Commodore has a sophisticated intruder surveillance system along with surveillance cameras strategically placed around the building. After 9.00pm, access is available using your room card. Safety deposit envelopes are available from reception and personal safes available in our Business Level rooms.

All rooms in the hotel are designated as Non-Smoking. We ask that you refrain from smoking in your room. An ashtray is provided outside on your balcony for your convenience. Please ensure that the balcony door is closed whilst smoking outside.

We have an indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna which all our guests are welcome to use between the hours of 6.00am and 10.00pm. The pool is equipped with an aqua jet, which is an excellent way to exercise. Please use your room key to access to these facilities.
