Sustainability
The Commodore understands that our actions have an impact on the local and international communities and the environment as a whole. Keeping this in mind the Commodore has endeavoured to reduce its impact on the environment through various initiatives, helping the community by being involved in many charitable organisations and events and supporting local talents, artists and suppliers.
Being a family run business the Commodore feels there is a necessity to support the local community. The Commodore, therefore has been involved with many local organisations including Burnside Tennis Club and Burnside High School with a mindset to make the community a better place. The rich heritage of the country is also something very dear to the Commodore and to preserve this, the Commodore along with the Canterbury Museum have obtained the tractor used by Sir Edmund Hillary in his expeditions across the Antarctic.
